Firstly, let me briefly explain the function of the inverter. Inverter is an electronic device used to convert direct current into alternating current through the combined action of inverter bridge, control logic, and filtering circuit.
Photovoltaic inverters are important equipment in the process of solar power generation. Solar cells generate direct current under sunlight, and the limitations of direct current use are too great. To supply power to more electrical devices, it is necessary to convert direct current into alternating current. Photovoltaic inverters are used for this task.
According to the power level of photovoltaic inverters, they can be roughly divided into four categories: micro inverters, residential photovoltaic inverters, commercial medium power inverters, and centralized power plant inverters.
What is that inductor?
Inductors, also known as chokes (CHOKE) or reactors. Generally composed of skeleton, winding, magnetic core or iron core, shielding cover, packaging material, etc. It is a component that can convert electrical energy into magnetic energy and store it. The structure of an inductor is similar to a transformer, but with only one winding. The biggest characteristic of inductance is that the current cannot suddenly change, it can only gradually increase or decrease. It is precisely by utilizing this characteristic that inductance can transform intermittent DC square wave current into continuous sine wave current.
What is the role of inductance in inverters?
Inductance is one of the most critical components in photovoltaic inverters, mainly used for energy storage, boosting, filtering, and EMI elimination. By using encapsulated inductors, the internal temperature of the inverter and the inductance can be reduced, and the performance and lifespan of the inductance can be significantly improved. In a photovoltaic inverter, there are usually four types of inductors: DC common mode inductor, boost inductor, filter inductor, and AC common mode inductor.
Photovoltaic inverters play an important role in the utilization of solar energy. But if you need to go out for fun or do outdoor live streaming, you may need a car inverter even more. It can be powered by a heavy-duty cigarette lighter, or by a mobile DC power source such as an external battery or car battery, to invert and supply power to other electrical devices. Moreover, compared to photovoltaic inverters, in car inverters are more convenient to use, easier to operate, and offer higher cost-effectiveness.
